Graduation 2011

This was a layout that was part of the Basicgrey 2011/12 Page of the Month club, and it was the July layout.

I modified it somewhat from the original - as always I have more pictures to put on my layout than was called for in the instructions!

Using the 'Out of Print' line, I did my daughters Grade 8 grad. I was inspired by the black and white of her dress to match the black and white of the background pictures. I loved the Out of Print stickers - they were all very inspirational and I felt like they perfectly suited the sentiment of the day.

I just love this paper collection from Fancy Pants - it's their Beach Babe collection. I love the colours, the embellishments, I guess I love everything about it! It really brought out the fun of summer! The two single page layouts were actually part of their Page Kit - there is also another double page layout that goes with it but I'm still in the process of completing that one. The double page layout shown was just something that I pulled together on my own. I don't usually use a lot of flowers on my pages, but the colourful buttons and flowers put together just seemed to work out well on this page. I love summer

Scrapfest Oshawa 2010

Well, it would appear that I have been remiss in posting on my blog! I guess life just got busy and I hadn't really thought of it until someone pointed out to me that I hadn't posted once yet in 2011!

So I am going back in time to try and capture a few of the things that went on in the fall of 2010. One of the big ones for me was Scrapfest 2010 in Oshawa. It was my first time being a vendor at a purely scrapbooking/cardmaking event. It was busy and we had a great time. We got to meet so many new people and I loved seeing some of the new trends that were popular that I hadn't had a chance to try yet.

I am looking forward to doing it again in 2011 and I have to thank Tracey and Emma for helping me out - I wouldn't have been able to do it without them!

My layout using the Capella line of paper from BasicGrey. I absolutely love this layout! I converted the
pictures to sepia when I printed them and it really makes the entire layout look so much more coordinated.

I think they look great, using the new lines of paper from this year. I love doing them and I give them as gifts to my Mom, my Mother In Law, and my Sister In Law.

All Day - April 11th

Well, we've had another successful All Day event!

As usual, all of the attendees were so nice and are such a great group of girls. We had a lot of laughs, and got a lot done - even me! Everyone enjoyed the croissant sandwiches that I picked up at Costco, and of course the dessert was appreciated by all!

The door prize was a Bo Bunny word album kit - Beach, and was won by Crystal. I hope she has a lot of beach pictures to put in it!
